Charging in style: Why Audi charging hubs are shaping the future of e-mobility
For me, e-mobility is much more than just a means of transportation – it is a matter close to my heart. It means freedom, progress and sustainability. And it shapes my travels, my writing and my view of the world.
That’s why I was particularly excited when Audi presented its charging hubs opened. I was there myself – in Berlin and Frankfurt – and am a regular guest at Moon City Salzburg. What I experienced there made a deep impression on me.
⚡ Fast, smart & stylish
The Audi Charging Hubs prove that charging can not only be fast, but also elegant, practical and user-friendly. The locations are deliberately chosen so that charging itself becomes an experience – and not just a necessary interruption.

In Frankfurt, for example, the Charging Hub is located on Orber Straße, right next to the impressive Klassikstadt. This listed factory site is home to a fascinating collection of vintage and classic cars, small workshops, cafés and restaurants – ideal for a stylish break with a nostalgic flair. Four charging points offer up to 320 kW charging power – and thanks to plenty of space, a swivel arm and height-adjustable displays, charging is not only fast, but also completely barrier-free. For me, it’s one of the nicest hubs I’ve experienced so far.

Things are a little more culinary in Berlin: the urban charging hub is located right next to “FrischeParadies”, the culinary hotspot in the world of high-quality food, where you can enjoy an espresso or antipasti while your car charges. The same principles apply here too: Fast charging with convenience, no app compulsion, but maximum accessibility – both technically and emotionally. It is this combination of everyday life and enjoyment that inspires me.

And then there is Salzburg – or more precisely the Moon City Salzburgwhich fascinates me anew every time I visit. Not only can you expect free organic drinks here, but also the opportunity to test drive the latest e-cars from the Volkswagen Group without any fuss. I love this relaxed mix of technology showroom, adventure world and urban meeting place. And if the laptop calls: modern conference rooms are available. For me, Moon City is a prime example of how versatile e-mobility is today – informative, interactive and always with a twinkle in the eye.
💳 Charging without the need for an app? Yes, please!
Another highlight is the simple payment option by credit card – without an app, without registration, without hurdles. In my opinion, this is exactly how modern mobility should be – intuitive and accessible for everyone.

🌱 Sustainable thinking
Audi also demonstrates innovative strength when it comes to sustainability. The charging hubs use second-life batteries, i.e. batteries from previous vehicles, making charging not only efficient but also resource-saving. That excites me – because for me, e-mobility also means acting consciously and with an eye to the future.

🚀 Advantage through technology
But what excites me the most is the charging experience itself. The charging stations offer up to 320 kW of power. This means that the car is ready for use again in just a few minutes. For me as a woman, the swivel arm is a real revelation. No laborious lifting or pulling – the cable practically glides to the connection by itself.

And: Audi thinks inclusively.
The stations offer plenty of space between the charging points so that people in wheelchairs can also maneuver easily. Vehicle doors can be opened fully. Displays are height-adjustable and easy to operate. Anyone really can charge here – independently, conveniently and without assistance.
💬 Passed the test!
Whether in Frankfurt, Berlin or Salzburg – the Audi Charging Hubs are a real statement of comfort, inclusion, sustainability and style.
For me as an e-mobility enthusiast, frequent traveler and woman, they are a place that shows how far we have already come – and how much fun climate-conscious travel can be.
I’ll be back. Guaranteed!
